5 mi SE Millett P.O., Nye Co., Nev.
May 31, 1932
At 8:30 a.m. rain ceased falling and it began to clear up to a certain extent. Must north one mile toward yellow-headed Blackbird colony but spent about 2 hrs. half way over them at a meadow where a Say Sparrow and Meadow Lark gave evidence that they were nesting. The latter seen carrying food. After taking notes here for several hours I continued on to pond & made observations there for an hour. The cold weather in the mountains may perhaps account for the relatively large number of Audubon's Warblers seen or heard this a.m. Back at cabin a pair of Say Phoebe were observed a short while this a.m.

About 15 mi N of Millett at 4 p.m. a little shrew [illegible] was seen to cross road with a large piece of sage bark in its mouth. Packed up & went up to Wisconsin Creek at 5 p.m.
