Took a walk down towards the sand dunes this a.m. The water that has flooded the meadow east of camp has reached the dunes and all the flat country is submerged. Found Magpie's nest and Sage Thrasher's nest (see notes under species). No water birds were seen in the ponds in the sand dunes. The water is briny and contains only a Branchiopod probably Artemia and some Mosquito larvae. This afternoon the wind has come up and the sky is partly cloudy.
