Kawich P.O. 5900 ft., Eye Co., Nevada,
42
Sept. 26, 1931
Kawich contained 5 light Microdipodops,
1 Dipodomys merriami and 1 Perag-
osthous brevicaudus.
Trap line 5.5 miles from Kawich
contained 1 Perag. garvus, 1 Ony-
chymys t. brevicaudus and 2
light Microdipodops.
Trap line 4.9 miles from Kawich
contained 1 Dipos. merriami and 1
light microdipodops.
One of the gopher traps at the
summit contained a gopher,
which as we drove up was partly
above ground. It was caught
by the leg and had pulled
up thru the gravel soil to the
surface. No noise as it was killed!
Gamb caught nothing out of
40 traps at camp. Hall's catch
mentioned in his note book.
This a.m. back at Kawich
a white-crowned Sparrow flew
down to our wood pile. There
are no trees around and only
very low brush. Heard a
Lindet fly overhead, also some
Crowned Harks.
