The edge, Prunus are abound out about the country. Cottontails have been seen by Hambl, but not by myself although fees are common.
Last night I found a dead porcupine about 100 yds. east of the cabin.
Shot a cedar waxwing in some willow down by the creek. Upon walking back I heard a can- nerten in the brush and saw a Sharp-shinned Hawk chasing a white-crowned Sparrow thru the willow Thicket
Packed camp and moved at 10:30 A.M. Went south along west side of range after leaving Silverbow. Cut three gaps in the buttes. About 15 miles south after having gone up the wrong canyon.
Arrived at Ranch P.O. about 3:45 P.M.
Former P.O. site is on the sloping west side of Ranch Valley.
At 4:30 P.M. we went down in the valley to trap microphiodops where Russell caught them last summer.
