Or/1931 Bren Creek, 5000 ft., Kaunich Range 59 Sept. 21, 1931 close a range. Also, shot a Townsend Solitaire. # 345 Eutamias m. piccus - ♂ 170-74-28-14.7 wt 28.6g. This evening Hall and Lamb placed out a number of Gopher sets while I was preparing dinner. Saw no bats flying around in the evening. After dinner Lamb and myself drove down to Cactus Flat, placing out 36 traps 5½ mi. SE Selwood. From here we went down to our gopher set several miles beyond and found a gopher caught (Thommys perpallida). We camped by our first trap line, 14 miles by auto road from Bren Creek. Running over my trap line at 10 P.M., I found 1 Microdipolys and 2 Perognathus nevadensis, all three caught alive by the tail. Saved one Pocket Mouse to keep alive. Sept. 22, 1931 This Q.M. the 38 traps contained 3 micro-dipolys (dark) in addition to what was taken last night. Hall's trap line which I trailed out contained 8 Micro-dipolys (3 light & 5 dark) and 2
