Meet Mrs. Bradshaw of the Nevada Fish & Game who told us of some South American Owl he had taken from the region. Description fitted a White-faced Glossy Ibis. Mr. Piles of Goldfield was in town and directed us as how to get to Ralston valley where we finally made camp this evening. We are located on the north shore of Mud Lake (a dry lake normally) where there are a number of low brush covered sand dunes. The night is very cold & windy.
