Ovr 1931 46 Meadow Valley, 7 miles S Caliente, 4000 ft. Lincoln Co., Nev. June 18, 1931 Swallow up in the canyon. The Rock Iwen's just mentioned in yesterday's notes was located this A.M. Walfell found two of the young birds in the spring, dead. Captured two Spadefoot Toad and one Sceloporus. The toads were both out in the open along the crust fault at mid-day. #231 Scaphiopus hammondi #232 Scaphiopus hammondi #233 Sceloporus Clipper Gap, Placer Co., Calif. June 20, 1931 Caught a Bogle's King Snake which was in the middle of the road as we drove by in the afternoon. #234 Lampropeltis boylii Left camp 7 mi. south of Caliente on morning of June 19, at 9:15 A.M. Went north to Ely, thence west to Fallon. Made overnight stop at Fallon and continued on the 20th to Pyramid Lake. Left Pyramid Lake at noon and came back to Berkeley via Reno, Truckee, Colfax, Auburn and Sacramento.
