Thomomys bottae
May 22 Cedar Grove, S. Fork Kings R., 4600 ft., Fresno Co., Calif.
A ♂ Thomomys was collected by a gopher trap placed in center of
runway. The mound was on north side of Kings R. amid
old fallen logs; soil was light color, coarse, & dry. There was
some grass and misery plant about. The trap was set about
9:30am. & the Thomomys was collected between 11 & 11:30.
There were cut stems in his pockets - all were approximately
same size.
