Arroyo Seco, Imperial Co., Calif. Dec. 21, 1938
One taken on sandy ground just above
flooding level, with creosote bush
the only vegetation.
Dec. 22, 1938 - One taken on sandy ground
in same area as last night.
Dec. 23, 1938 - One taken on ground
covered with small rocks and some
dark soil beneath. This ground appeared
to be volcanic.
Dec. 29, 1938 - 3 taken on rocky slope
and on flat at top of slope. Only
vegetation is a low grey bush - possibly
(Artemisia) and another low bush
with many spines, some creosote bush
was present also. All vegetation was
well scattered.
Jan. 5, 1939 - Koford took one at our
camp 4 mi. N of Lake Arrowhead, San
Bernardino Co., Calif.
