NPS PIU 1974 Journal 63 5 Sept Red Barn, National Seashore, Point Reyes, Marin Co., Calif. No bat hanging in the beam. We picked out a few from above the beam by using long tweezers. Relatively few droppings. # to one of Myotis [illegible] in the Red Barn, probably a juvenile (?). Also an intriguing & tame Fulmarus especially in the E. end of barn. Muddy Hollow, National Seashore, Marin Co., Calif. Report from the park rangers (questions by Dick Brown) that there were many bats. We used hand net & magnifying glass and caught all we saw 22 in total. # There were lots of sleeping. Evidence also that carpenters had been at work putting in new installations. Probably their hanging got the best of flying around creating an impression of more bats than there really were. Most of these (15 of the 22) we took to Delimard, totaled & released. The follow is data from external examination: PM 20 9 Gulf pelagic PM 21 8? juv. pelagic 22 8? just pelagic 23 8? juv. pelagic small size 24 4 adult 25 4 adult
