Myer Phil 1974 Journal 59 Hastings Reservation, Monterey Ca. Calif. July Retreat, it would have attacked me about 2 hours later I went back with Pearn, Joe & Philip, to try to photograph the beast. But it had apparently left. It looked as if this night we had seen a lemur beneath a large bush, but we weren't about to investigate closely. This was the fourth Bobcat we've seen in 2 days. Weather today was clear just cool & breezy. Max temp in 70's. # PM - one Mission Orius Meadow Grasshopper prejuvenile chipping sparrow marks. 12 July Still clear & cool, picked up traces Notch in oaks. Meadow - 4 P. maniculatus, 2 Perdotalus. Chaparral - 3 (?) P. truei-boylei. Several birds (see Pearn). Of the total 33-34 mice caught these last 3 days, 25 were O -> Red Barn Natural Seashore Refuges, 1mi N Olvera, Marin Co. Calif 18 July We started in at the coast at about noon. The weather is clear & unusually warm for Pt Reyes. The temp. is in upper 70's - low 80's. Set the coast the temp over 24°C.
