Olema Marin Co. Calif.
30 May We later counted 115 bats including
probably 10-20 young born in the bag.
Most of the F's were pregnant, the few
were neither pregnant nor lactating.
Most animals had a small amt of
fat.
Temp was in mid '60s°F. Had been
foggy earlier but clear when we arrived
at the coast (8AM).
Bats were in a dark part of the
attic space about 5' high, hanging
from central beam running length of roof.
Small amt of droppings on floor here too -
owhere near a complete coverage of floor
suggest they either just arrived, either,
from the other half of the roof as from elsewhere.

Bats as usualy picked up 3 M. thysanodes
in a group near the light (are they only still
hunting), & a bunch of M. lucifuga &
a bunch of M. eumanus from 15' away
from the light. Fewer bats this time,
probably <400. We could see a few young.
No dead adults but we saw 4-5 dead
neonates under the roof. Picked up 20
droppings from the aluminum pans we
