Wyers PUD 1974 Journal 49 Hamilton Air Force Base, Marina, Calif. 7 May spraying with a sticky substance to try to drive them off but they seem far to make the feces dirt stick harder to do well. Estimate 10-30 bats/roof for most of the men we saw. Went into the photo lab building, found deserted tadarida & lots of droppings. Recently screened however, & building is very tight. Drove to building 424, arrived ~9 AM. Large amt of droppings, some fog, partly clearing, air temp in 60's. Flat attic large amt of dropping by as well (nearest the runway), but no bats - looks like the droppings sifted through between a board & the wall & the bat can't get in. Fenda was upon the roof, & Jones picked about 60-70 tadarida up by removing 2 rows of tile near the edge of the roof ~50' high, removed about 20 tiles total (or less). cell Tadarida & all bats (I looked at at least 10 bats in sea) all jammed into its space between tile & top of wall. took the bat to Fort Baker where she will be checked for rabies. .88 total, non rabid of 47 fluorescent ant body 15 May Red Barn National Scavenger Midgets 1 mi W Olenna Marina, Calif. arrive 7:30 AM. clear temp in 60's F. past week has been clear & warm.
