7 May spraying with a sticky substance to try
to drive them off but they seem far
to make the feces dirt stick harder to do well.
Estimate 10-30 bats/roof for most of the
men we saw. Went into the photo lab
building, found deserted tadarida & lots of
droppings. Recently screened however, &
building is very tight.
Drove to building 424, arrived ~9 AM.
Large amt of droppings, some fog, partly
clearing, air temp in 60's. Flat attic large
amt of dropping by as well (nearest the
runway), but no bats - looks like the
droppings sifted through between a board & the
wall & the bat can't get in. Fenda
was upon the roof, & Jones picked about
60-70 tadarida up by removing 2 rows
of tile near the edge of the roof ~50' high,
removed about 20 tiles total (or less).
cell Tadarida & all bats (I looked at
at least 10 bats in sea) all jammed
into its space between tile & top of wall.
took the bat to Fort Baker where she
will be checked for rabies. .88 total, non rabid of 47
fluorescent ant body
