Weggs pH 1974 Journal 29 Isla Tower, Galapagos, Ecuador 3-4 Feb Some immature frigate birds but no clowns. Watched two frigate chasing boobies. They seemed to wait floating along the cliffs, until a howeever bold booby w.a full up again. Then they'd go after it 2-3 frigates were there. [illegible] had what seemed to be a special call when chased. Usually the frigate would divebomb or harassed the food but once we saw one grope booby in mid flight & seem to carry it away - with its head looked at the boobie's vent. G magnostis, G. [illegible], G. felipina. Centrula. Very low densities. Dee last net site were amid the dense clump of centauria cactus. Also called smocken, yellow warbler, & Galapagos flycatcher. Ones [illegible] very dry. Almost no trees were, leaves. Tower is a low island never more than 100 ft or so high, is probably ever catches much rain. Vegetation is low, scrubby, not very dense.
