Academy Bay, Isla Santa Cruz, Galapagos Islands, Ecuador
20 Jan About their fresh water supply; apparently the rainy season is late in starting yet they
yet show evidence of recent breeding, the g's
have descended tests, & all have at least
some fat.
Most rats also had large tapeworms encysted

pale & the tree castings (which start 10-20ft above
sea level around the bay) are green but old,
plants are either brownish or totally leafless.

warblers. Put out 26 tomahawk traps & 75 Sherman

Echo hunting after dark was as successful as
usual. 2 teams. Janet & I got 9 in about an
hour. These are smaller than average, & most
