Meyer Phil 1973 Journal 180 226 km NW Villa Hayes, (Ls 10), Dept. Pte Hayes, Paraguay. 21 Nov. side of the wall (no more than 18" from the first sample & at the same level) over all M. nigricans, with ?'s predominating . ie, The young carben separate from the 4's , as easily seen & distinguished by their prayer pelage. Later we flipped palm logs on the outside roof & caught a # of M. nigricans. Several solitary S's, one group of 2 F's & 1 O' surprisingly, even tho the tempalure was at least 33°C. The lots were almost all easily caught. Pecked up a Icarida (lots isolated) & a Molossus from separate root fit in a nearby Oldy, this two then saw them also over in the main Mysts root. The road is dry, its last rain about 10 days ago. There has been sufficient rain at last however; the countryside is greener & the cattle are fattening up (tho still thin) Palm all blooming. Violets, leguminous & other wild plants also. Insects not bad - a few mosquitoes. Still lots of snail kites. Over one field (10 ha) I counted over 30, & in no less than three 10. Wedidn't
