Trouble is that too many of the roofs are appropriate for bats but not fox - ie, we can't raise the logs. Couple of Propidium, 1 Tadarida, air temp about 22-23C, bats all active. Many more escaped than our couple can get a sighted frog also under the palm group. 226 km NW Villa Hayes loge, Dept. Pte. Hayes, Paraguay From Caé we went back to Pérabú, km 226. From the Shell station then is a driveway leading 3-4 km in to a ranch, Siete Horizontes, located on the Siete Fuentes river. Small, about 9 people in residence. 1 large abandoned building with a tin roof undelays dey palm strips. Several other building with same construction. Mudwalls. The abandoned fielding meat shed, + one of the others all support population of thousands of bats. The meat shed housed mostly Molossid (big swell spreading) the others mostly Myotis but w. some Molossid. In the abandoned fielding there is 3/4" of feces on the floor, + see bats lining the roofs walls when it gets hot according to the women who showed around (Sra. de Leon the encargados wife) the bats move down the walls in great #s. I found a ladder & climbed to where I could reach the ceiling. I grabbed
