Myers Phil 1973 Journal 168 466 km NW Villa Hayes by rd, Dept. Boqueron, Paraguay 3 Sept slept, but not so well about 10°C at 6 AM. Left, met Martin & Lavett accidentally at the drive into Salazar. 425 km NW Villa Hayes by rd, Dept. Boqueron, Paraguy forgot that at a small pond here I shot a greater yellowlegs. A temporary pond. Bird was with another, smaller sandpiper. Shot 2 Perdoalsaudra, further down the road (Pete notes & catalogues), K at Salazar km 320 we saw 17 golden plover & a large of buff breast sandpipers. Also solitary sandpipers & black necked stilts. Slept at its R. Verdo line camp, left until 1 AM putting up birds. 50 km E of km 320 on Trans Chaco Hwy, Dept Boqueron, 4 Sept Paraguay Part of Esteri land, Juan de Salazar, which has its headquarters at km 320 arrived by a little dirt road I think 50 km is an approximate linear distance. The name of this place is Campo Flores. Road in very interesting, a good cross section of chaco habitats. Mostly low mounds. Picked up 2 wetland weaned greedy skulls. Lavett got a coati carcass. 2 very large lakes, look natural at least several km² of water. Very dense vegetation around edge. Many birds, included sandpipers, or shot a Wilson phalarope which Pete put up. Come out to this place because the people
