Myers Phil 1973 Journal 165 275 km NW Villa Hayes lyrd, Dept.Pte.Hayas, Paraguay 24Aug even if clear they were periods of overcast alternati with [illegible] clearske. 25 Aug overcast. Nwind which quickly shifted to temp? clear it. On the way back there was inter- wetted drizzle & 2 periods of rain, but the road remained opened. Lot of dead Taurandora, qui must badly torn up. 2 were [illegible] badly damaged than the other, 1 black & 1 leg bit. But in too much of a hurry to see much. Made it to Villa Hayes in 5 1/2 hrs despite bad condition of road. Poor car. 130 km NW Villa Hayes lyrd, Dept.Pte.Hayas, Paraguay 29 Aug clear, cold in am picked up a road-killed Ploegen caucravus. Several ponds near the road, but vegetation is mostly from forest vinal (Prosopis) 226 km NW Villa Hayes lyrd, Dept.Pte.Hayas, Paraguay almacen Ca-i. Lot of palm roofs here. we flipped a few. Found Tauranda, Myotis albescens, & M nigricans. Collected no bat. We saw large #s of mo sp, but we didn't flip many too. we did collect 2 Tropidur which were flattened hard against the surface under separate logs in to roof - really hot morin surface area in contact with the wood. Air temp warm - at least?20 C, probably more like 25 C. Clear, S wind. 30 Aug 300 km NW Villa
