154 Journal Muyey plus 1973 17 Aug 270 km NW Villa Hayes (yard, Dept. Pto. Hayes, Paraguay) both the large & small type also caught a vampire, the first from Charrua 2 Noctilio leporinus, & saw several flying. 24 < Eptesicus > & #16 released, includ; 9 Tadarida & 2 of a type new to me, perhaps a Eumops (large & ligeread). 40 in total. weather moderated so. also saw 5 or 6 opos, a crab-eating raccoon (brief, as it disappeared into the brush), & a Tamandua. wind picked up a little around 7. 18 Aug Hot, partly cloudy. Max Temperature 36°c. Spent the day skimming. left farloma around 4 p.m. 290 km NW Villa Hayes (yard, Dept. Pto. Hayes, Paraguay) Loma Thory, described previously. # Peck my net surrounding the tin roof & at an exit along the central beam. Becks of Tadarida. By 8:30 AM, had caught 10 x 12 Tadarida for the Michelangel, only. Myotis nigricans. weather warm, 22°, breeze from N. at 3-4 AM south wind came up & sky cleared down. Temp down a smidgen hot. 19 Aug Temp 20°c at 7:30 AM. overcast, drizzle, wind from S. started in at the palm roofs. Bat, not vampire, at least 1/3 as escaped? Caught many. our large party of 10-20 M. nigricans (all or mostly ♀) on large spot N. allseem ♀?. Not certain if the spots were strictly pure species but almost a few politer & Murguesen's 2 small spof M. nigricans ♀. This all, most
