22 July assume weathe remaining good. By "Tropero" (driving)
costs $30 000 . Thus paying the lighting wait help
the cattlemen much economically Oscar said that of
course they regard it as a great inconvenience but little
more. Transporting costs will not fall, in fact they may
rise.
Rode out to where the tractor is plowing furrow preparing
to plantin Pangola. Soil is so hard that the heavy
thic harrow turns in only 5 cm. Begins harrowing to
get to the seem necessary 20cm.
Warmed up fast. Afternoon light, in 70's swind,
clear. released three of two what but we didn't
catch. Of those caught in the palm roofs of the sheepfolds
cattle pen, 200 yards from the main bldg & bat roost,
afterwards 24 bats ingot all all disappeared to
various places. But those caught in the cookhouse
roof, 300yds from the main roof headed for
the main roost. My complete unexpected . My traps
were half closed by no means block the entrance
to the roost yet I've recaptured 5 individuals of in 10
minutes after releasing them. Seems strange particular
since this time we're caught only 4 bats from mainroost.
The bats from the cookhouse roost been common,
carft 55 in all, of which released about 30.
