Walked over to the sheep shed, where we had seen bats under a [illegible] palm log (9 bats in all), & they had left. This morning we carefully replaced the log, quickly & w/, as little disturbance as possible. But this flew. Pub Hermer temp tonight or do they normally leave regardless of temp? Svercar came at about 8:00p. Swind pickup. Pilot I went for a walk at 6:30-10:30p, along river bed. Saw one fox near the buildings. Not even a caiman.
