Weyen Puel 1973 Journal 136 7 July 2 km N Alto lysd, Dept Cordillera Paraguay about a year & a half & 2 years since cleared), then to a short stretch of forest, then into a [illegible] plot of native grass surrounded by woods. In the grass there were lots of large animal trails & [illegible] hand mouse signs. Night warm, still. Penally the net over the pond. Caught 2 Nuclelis leporina, 2 L. ego, 2 captaen, 1L. boreas, & 8 molassis, including 1 strange we with very fine feet & light belly fur. 8 July The trap [illegible] unfortunately I arrived a Delphus. As the previous night, 20-30% were spring & dragged. The possum was in the Schuyler. shot a BoeKop, pitched it. Weather still fair, strong N wind last. left 10 AM 9 July 2 km S Tobet'lyrd, Dept Cordillera Paraguay This is the Oratorio on the Concepci-Tobet' rd.. stopped to look for Chrosteplens in the shallow cave nearly found only a few vampires. As we were leaving heard bats cheering up the cliff face. I found a crack, climbed up & found a [illegible] narrow split in the rock full of taderida killed 4 week, the oldest gen. weather still warm, fair, strong N. wind 20 July 17 km E Luque lyrd, Dept Central Paraguay cold Temp 10C. intermittent drizzle, slight S wind. Peter & stopped here looking for birds.
