falls are in many long calm pools where I set 2 bat nets. Surandis are heavy cut forest (crossed out) but low anyway (I think) due to it's very shallow soil (over a rock cay which comes there frequently). It looks wet.
Weather, cloudy, then clearing after dark.
Temp in 70's. No wind. Caught 31 oga & 7 large Molosses. All bat very fat. Saw a water rat, bat, swimming along the edge of the river when chased they ran along the slight overhanging bank & disappeared.
No hesitation about going under water, circle. Also saw a chirivete several times always swimming. Quickly disappeared under water every time I chased it. Lot of flying insects but few mosquitos. Left about 8:30 PM.
27 May return trip. Most camped downstream from buildings. Two nets above falls, 2 below clear. Temp in 70's. Caught 2 large Molosses, 1 Sturmiro & 1 Desmodu. Set 50 traps around rocks & brush. Half the traps were in the more or less open brush near rocky thorny, low bushes, sandy soil. Other half under slight higher bushes & tree. Very
