Caught 2 TatĂș solito (3 banded armadillos), at about km 420 & 380. They later escaped. Both were spotted running along the road. I hailed & chased. As soon as I got w/in 3-4 ft they curled into a tight ball & I grabbed them. One was a ? - the first I've seen (of 596 captured). Many guinea pigs croaking road about dusk. Many fates -15 or so total. 10 deer including one shot at 340 km NW Villa Hayes Rd, Dept Boqueron, Paraguay. Night lighted also near here I shot a Felis yaguarundi. Both animals fat. Saw a maned wolf in swamp- standing in water. Long legs! He stared at me; I stared at him. Then headed into forest. Herd of collared peccaries at about km 380. Wounded go but he escaped. Slept briefly.
