6 apid anything about this protection as an armadillo,
yet they are numerous piles / deer droppin',
& I saw what looked like small cat feces.
night warm - low 80's, mostly clear, st. winds
from N. caught 1 small black Myotis at
8 PM, which released. very quiet - heard no birds,
or spider monkey howl/cries.

in trap set around fallen or holed tree -
one of the rats was in a trap set in a hole
10 ft off of the ground. clouded up early.

Paraguay vegetation similar but w/ a
small pond by the road. lot of dead trees &
old rotting brush piles by the road. Burned
palo santo - oily residue which burns hot &
low, remarkably nice odor. No small grassy
area (3-400 m2) lined with rat trail & droppings.
The armadillos are driven but wary. (caught
several glimpses). May be guinea pigs around
now - it clouded over w/ low dark clouds.
