P. Nuyes 1973 Journal 104 69 km NW Villa Hayes by rd., Dept. Pte. Hayes, Paraguay 30 March 'Ja Clamurá - we left under partly cloudy skies, temp in 80's, & Nuring got gradually darker to the North, & by this pt. it was pouring. camped here mid before. Set out 50 snag traps, 2 S. longes, 2 Steel traps (Victor) & 4 nets (2-60', 2-30'). 3 nets by overhanging edge of pond, 1 by known nest in quebracho by the road. rain stopped in about 2 hours, must have 20-30mm. Road closed. Half the traps were set in lush wet monte. Severely cut ave. no trees higher than 30', but very dense. Several paths, 3-4
