24 Mar noise were distinct - very frequent which did continually while I was near. They also urinated & defecated with distressing accuracy.
So for I've seen 1 fig tree with fruit & a couple of palms dropping edible nuts. Lots of herbs & shrubs blooming. In town the lapacho is starting to bloom also.
Left the net up. Caught a green-winged saltator & a masked yellow-breast. Seeing lots of the Ameiva-like lizards. Set 2 more nets both over a cattle path leading into forest. Left the traps where they are, but set it to a Sherman's (also in forest). Capybara? track.
Started catching bats earlier, about 8 pm - 1 Galeric, 1 L.ega, & 2 Antilines, & 1 Tonatia (?) in clover net, the stream. Many Sturmius. Caught many Sturmius & 2 Tonatias in the forest nets. 23 Sturmius in all.
At about 9 I saw a royal possum in a very dense part of the woods, & at about 10:30 I managed to shoot it nearly. Caught 1 little nightjar (Caprimulgus parvulus) & 1 scissor-tailed nightjar in nets.
