Numerous roadside pools along this stretch - probably 20 or 25, mately only a few meters in dia. Arrived 10 PM. Temp 84°F, partly cloudy, sl breeze from N. 3PM temp 35°C. Put up 9 nets, including 2 60' over the two large pools. Set out my 17 Sherman in heavy brush alongside a flooded field. Most of the traps are on dry ground underneath brush. Shot a charata - very fat. Caught only 4 L. ega, very disappointing. Closed net around 10:30 PM, air temp 21°C, p/clear, very sl. E wind. Mosquitoes wed. bad. Pue is a lake, ~100m dia, in the forest nearby, which may be drawing bats from the roadside pools. But they didn't seem to be nearly as many flying her as they were last night, if there weren't that many then. 13 March 7 PM air temp 18°C. Working in traps. Saw a jaguarundi cross road.
