For Marisol Lopez for the Kuchatschek Aramendi,
Paraguay. Actually about a block
from the intersection - house rented by
David Smith, m so. They have a small pool
which is surrounded by walls but not
roofed out of which they have finished
several small colonial farms. Found the roost -
under tile in the roof. Set net at entrance to
the verandah. Caught all three of what
came out of the roof - 2 types of Molosses, the
large moloss & the small church bat. The
church bats (2?) didn't come out until late -
9:30, while the other went out before
dark (8) which I was still setting up the net.
Nothing went to pool. Hot, clear, calm.

For Guillermo Franco for Argentina
A Islands - used to be Butlers. They
have poisoned the molossid roost in the
roof but neglected to seal cell the holes,
so it looks as if the bats are returning.
One net over the partially filled pool
yielded nothing. Cool (80°), windsy,
clear - a fruit brawtle's had just gone there.
