Journal 93 15 Feb 3 km S Acuray dam land, Dept. Itá, Paraguay. Paraguay. Looked like marmoset trail but saw no dropping, one pile of clipping. Set 50 snaptraps & 17 Sherman's. 16 Feb Saw 2 jaguarundi crossing road caught 1 mouse, a strange skodant with a long mass long tail, big feet, & rangey fur. (Caught alive). She late gave birth to 3 young & promptly at no call later returned to Asuncion via the Villarrica - Paraguarí road. All farms but in part not too dense. Road passes thru a large river valley which looks like native grassland that has been grazed for centuries. Stopped me place near Tebicuary, saw & heard several guinea pig, a small armadillo, some perid. Cloud clearing along some forested mtns. Looked rather dry. Recycled Asuncion, Paraguay The nest over the pool has been left closed but neat. Just right it caught 4 Molosses & 1 Splaties. Gstencier put up. 19 Feb 2:13 am NW Villa Hayes land, Dept Pte. Hayes, Paraguay. Roger & I stuck in mud at Santa Lucia. Trouble with oil pressure indicator ending when the whole damned operator broke off & we plugged the hole with a nail & sonoglo. Due to this problem we spent the night.
