7 of the small Molossops, 3 & larger, + 1 small
whitebellied molossid (a Molossops also ->)
weather warm (80) cloudy. Netted 7:30-9:00
Molossops flew at 8:10.

7 Dec a repeat but fewer bats. 2 Molossops, 1 Eumops.
again 80°, cloudy 5 nets in woods.

There has been much rain in the last 2
weeks. Over 90mm fell here, including 35mm
on Dec 6. Things in general look a little
greener, there is standing water in many places,
the most of the fields are still dry. The
mosquitoes & no-see-ums are thick, to be
counted in # per exposed in². There are
frogs in most of the ponds...lots of chemi-like
lizards running around (saw in Oct.)
& lost several fresh tayuquesci skins,
hanging in the cowboy quarters. Netted
the most on the porch. I completely
enclosed the area with 4 nets. First
bats appeared late around 8:30. Initial
burst of activity petered out in 1/2 hr or
so. Since this time & until 9:30 we
were sitting near the nets. At 9:30
