Before leaving to keep it, so the specimen is in 2 pieces. This snake, which goes by the above common name or perhaps by the name Tacanuna (our local experts were divided about its identity) has a reputation for being the most dangerous in this part of Paraguay, despite its small size. It was on nearly bare ground under trees. It blended in well with the soil & light leaf cover.
