Wyeg PhD 1972 Journal 55 mis Toloti leged, Dept Gardener, Paraguay 13 oct Partly cloudy, Septem, Quit on leight ward &. Wind was morer, & 14 oct dry clouding over, and 24 in to many a series of violent thunderstorms started quickly around 8 AM. I suspect severe miche rain fell. The streams, which had dried to a series of isolated pool are running & deep & have carried several of my traps away as the tie would permit. Caught 2 large mysticomyphs, an oryzomy, & an akodont (?). Had damage to all but the oryzomy, who was under water. Weather remained partly cloudy & threaten all day. Temp in 70's. Very windy - too windy for web. Put out 25 traps in a brushy meadow w. a low density veg, but which had a few rodent &/or armadillo hole, & 25 down a rocky ravine in heavy 2nd growth & riparian veg. Towards evening weather cleared & became cool (60's). 15 Oct Nothing in traps in meadow, mysticomo- morph in the ravines. These mysticomorphs seem to occur primarily near the rock, but 1 was captured practically in a stream, far
