Wyers Phil 1972 46 Journal Chase Experimental Station 255 km NW Villa Hayes N.W.R.D. Sept. Phil Hayes, Paraguay 13 Sept. Leach caught 5 like 370, 1 like 364. In grass cought 3# like 364, 1 like 370. Some were still warm, 2 were still alive. Looks like we lost some info. (see chart previous page) - but generally the proper mice like 364 seem to be more diurnal & to stick more strictly to grass. 5 Bar nets out - 3 along edge of field & forest, 2 along trail thru dense forest. Caught 1 molossid & 1 mozasid, 10 PM - air temp 68F. clearing dl breeze. Saw 2 Pres shot # (8# & 394). It was moving in a cleared area along the edge of the forest. One false geocronog # 397 also collected, further along same border. Went out w Maceli & adog earlier, shot no medium sized ant eater - # 393 - in middle of field (ride dog found it). Also saw 2 Mozamodeer. Busy night. 14 Sept. clear & warm. 2 birds in nets - ne cardinal, one blue tufted starthroat. Both released. threatening clouds by afternoon but cleared finally. Maceli says it will rain. Fair still wind in evening & late afternoon. Temp in 90's. Dennis Maceli & friend went downtown brought back & Charata a white tipped dove & a tatu ju' evening - set nets along same road as were set 8 Sept.
