Myles phil 1972 40 Journal Corner of Kulitechel & Guillermo Franco, Alumbras, Paraguay. 6 Sept singing - not just isolated songs but continuously & many birds. The bird we caught near fugue on 2 Sept were molting (some) but complex the 2's had fairly large ovaries, the certainly no follicles larger than 2 mm. Today a neighbor cornered a Pidelphi which I caught. It was a ?, with 8-10 young in its pouch. The believed to be 5-6 centimeter but eyes weren't open & they were hairless, tightly attached to mommy. The pouch was so tightly closed when I first grabbed him that I had to probe around to find the opening Chaco Experimental Station, km 29.5 NNE Villa Hayes Depto Pto Hayes, Paraguay 7 Sept Left Alumbras 11 AM in Chevy Carryall driven by Mariseli a veterinarian & schoolteacher, her baby & nursemaid. Arrived here at 4:30 after several stops. 3 fmes for an anmolello & agrisan seen alive & wumworer (fms) & 3 of the smaller ant-eaters seen dead on road. Can't catercalled 'caqure', it is not an oso hormiguero. but & clear all the way, the sky lay dawned overcast. North wind between km 200 & here there are lots of blooming
