32 Journal 14 Aug join aunt Graci Franco & the Kubitschek's, Founvich, Paraguay. warm. I net over swimming pool, spent my lab afternoon. Between 8-11 caught 1 fasciculus egg & 1 striped phyllostomatae. left net up overnight, caught 1 more fascin in morning. 9.4 km E Paraguari by rd, Dept. Paraguarí, Paraguay 15 Aug. I saw further down the rd from the site we worked at 13 Aug. day warm & partly cloudy (thunderstorm clouds). arrived ~11 AM, left ~2 PM. There is a stream, small, for which tumble we rocks thru here. Lots of springs ground mostly in spots. Veg very diverse both structurally & in sp. composition'. The stream look immovable, trapped. Paving around on the hill I trap would be difficult as the veg. is very thick. We set up a mist net over the stream & caught 1 deer (#315, either a were'sa furnaried (!?)). I followed a path which parallels the stream for a few hundred feet. Much land is being cleared, revealing more rocks than tillable soil. Shot me large Ameiva-like lizard (#312) around border of cleared area & dry brush. am at
