the border of a grassy, brushy field (cleared)

covered w. a diverse assemblage of knee-
high grasses & shrubs. wood is tall,
w dense growth of a genorot Vitis w.
leaves like bamboo as undergrowth.
Nearly impenetrable. Numerous
trails look like perhaps armadillos. There
are numerous armadillo holes around.

26 July 2 strange camanipels that look almost
like gophers in general form - weak
eyes, tubular body, short tail, short
but powerful legs, small can etc.
but pelage very spiny. also no
