Pte Hayes, Paraguay 25 June Thru the middle of this run, I traced an old road, which petered out into a trail thru 'the floating veg. probably kept clear by crocodiles (reported to be up to 3 m, quite safe?). Numerous screamer, stork, heron, ibis, and a few muscovy ducks. Traps set at base of trees, on floating veg, and on rafts made of cut reeds, & on some rotting log structures at edge of lake.
