I and captured some frogs (eg, 160 w red wash under leg) in grass near water & some (eg, 159 w yellow at legs) in walls of building. 161, a toad was brought in leg workers, who also brings in some smaller vole-like mice. Macchi brought a wolf rat (174), which alive resembles a large coates or small muskrat, but has can almost completely webbed hind feet. Paul caylor in grass near a pool. Saw a Colubrid under a wood pile, ~ 15" long w gray ar back & yellow belly. Set out 60 snap trap, 40 in open fields (25 in low grass, 15 in grass & shrubs 2-3 ft high) & 20 in bushes along edge of field. Lots of standing water in field mostly confined to ruts & cow footprints. also lots of mouse signs - trails, dropping & chipping. 24 Jun traps checked, left set. 11 vole-like mice of one or two sp (163-173). During day 3 more, it apparently yet another sp (175-177). Shot a guinea pig (178) in the evening, in grass & bushes along a forested part of road. 60 net traps set along thru forest by rd edge in late afternoon. Jon
