Munnay 1949 Eptesicus fuscus Aug 29 Willow Creek, 500 ft., Humboldt Co., Calif. Had noted large bats flying here at dusk beside the Willow Creek Hotel. Tonight shot 2 and they proved to be this species. The flight seemed rather slow and straight. They appeared to stick close to several firs which were the only tall trees in the immediate area. Began to fly at early dusk.
