Peromyscus maniculatus
June 19 San Jorge, 25° 44' N, 112° 07' W, Baja Calif
and 20 traps extending well into the
swamp in thick tangled growth about
4 ft high. There was soft mud with many
dead leaves and branches on its surface.
Put 4 traps up high on branches of larger
mangroves, and 2 on a dense matting
of mesembryanthemum which also grew
up in the air. The rest were on the
ground. Caught 8♂, 7♀, of which the
largest percentage was in the swamp.
Two of the traps in trees had mice, and
both of those on mesembryanthemum.
