May 10 Pozo Grande, 25°4½'N, 112°02'W, Baja Caly.
We waited here beside the pool at dusk for bats. It was about 80x20 yards, had some mesquite and a somewhat rocky ridge along one side. When they appeared they seemed to fly out of the ridge.
I netted 3 by standing on the bank and the others shot several. These tended to fly close to the water and circled around by the banks, sometimes flying into the bushes. (See journal)
