30 April Dorner's Camp, Granite Mountains (near
Kelso), San Bernardino co., CA.
from Orange County and had gotten his
Winnebago motor home stuck in the sand
nearby. Phillippe & Cindy helped pull his
RV out.
When we went back down to get gas
(at about 1900 PSI) we found a large
speckled rattlesnake and a small shovel-nosed
snake on the pavement of Kelbaker Rd. near
the Bristol Mountains. Later, as we drove
back toward Kelso to look for snakes
after dark we tho saw the indian again, but
this time he & his winnebago were stuck
on Kelbaker Road with a flat tire. We
told the young indian man that we might
be able to help him tomorrow.
No snakes later so we went back to
Dorner's Camp for the night.
