28 April Bonanza King - Silver King mine area,
Providence Mountains, San Bernardino co., CA.
On our way down from Silver
King Mine we found a small adult
Kingsnake on Blair Bro's Ranch Road at
1645 PST (Species account: Common Kingsnake).
Drove back to the Granites via the old
Hwy 66, and drove toward Kelso on Kelbaker
Road to look for snakes. After dark we
found two juveniles and a dead adult
glossy snake and a Night Snake (Species
accounts: Glossy Snake; Night Snake).
We also drove Kelso-Cima Road for
a few miles, but we didn't find anything
so we went back to Dorne's Camp for
the night.
