Brad R. Moon 1987 Species Account Lyre Snake (Trimorphodon biscutatus) 24 April Kelbaker Road 8.4 miles south of Hwy 40, at Windy Point - Bristol Mountains, San Bernardino co, CA. T6N R13E sec 18 nw 1/4. elev. ~ 450 m. 2046 PST Bruce and I found a juvenile snake on the pavement near where the Bristol Mountains extend out to the road. Surrounding desert is sandy, with creosote bushes and other small, sparse shrubs. Air temp. 27° C by my thermometer. Snake is T. b. vandenburghi with a single anal scale and 39 dorsal blotches.
