B.R. MOON 1987 Species Account Western Fence Lizard (Sceloporus occidentalis) 21 May Hole in the wall Campground, Providence Mountains, San Bernardino co., CA. elev. ~1300m. I saw one lizard in the small, round canyon below the lookout path at the hole in the wall. The canyon bottom is flat with grass and a Desert Almond Bush and steep, nearly vertical, volcanic rock walls. It is sunny and usually very warm there due to the surrounding walls.
