B.R. MOON 1987 Species Account Desert Spring Lizard (Sceloporus magister) 8 April Bonanza King Mine, Providence Mountains, San Bernardino co., CA. TION RHE Sec 3 nw'4. elev.~1340 m. 1430 PST, Two very large adult lizards found on large rocks just below main mine tunnel. Overcast, 50-75% cloud cover; ~25°C. Both lizards took cover as soon as we saw them, from about 7m. away. 12 April Summit Spring, Providence Mountains, San Bernardino co., CA. elev. 1400 m. TION RHE Sec 16 nw'4. Bruce and I found an adult female lizard under some wood beams at tunnel entrance. Cold, windy day; lizard was inactive when captured. Pitor-juniper wood- land with some rocky areas & small canyons.
