B.R. MOON 1987 Species Account Leopard Lizard (Gambelia wislizenii) 11 April Approx. 1/2 mi. southwest of Arrowweed Spring, Providence Mountains, San Bernardino co., CA. T9N R13E Sec 27 NW1/4. elev. 1170 m. 1257 PST, Bruce Wagg and I found an adult female lizard along the old dirt road to the spring. Habitat: rocky soil with fairly smooth surface in scrub desert with Yuccas and some creosote. Overcast, ~80% cloud cover, warm (~24°C), windy. 1330 PST, we found another adult female lizard in same area. This one had dried mud under her hind legs & cloaca, possibly from egg laying; she was also emaciated. Catalog #'s 22, 23 25 April Kelbaker Road approx. 5 mi. south of Kelso Dunes Road, San Bernardino co., CA. 0950 PST, Bruce and I found an adult male lizard on the edge of the pavement in the sun. Surrounding habitat rocky creosote & scrub with sandy areas and sandy & rocky washes. Catalog #54
