Spring approx 1/4 mi southeast of Goldstone Spring,
(cont'd) Providence Mountains, San Bernardino co., CA.
T9N R14E Sec 6 ne'1/4. elev. ~1500m.
from spring. Formerly rocky Pinar-Juniper
woodland but now mostly barren & rocky
due to fire some years ago. One male lizard
had brick red head with overall golden
body. One female lizard with slightly orange
tinted chin, also overall golden body.
Both of these traps were in small open area
and were covered with sticks & logs.

Two skinks in pitfall trap under oak like
bush below the spring. Rocky wash with some
large bushes and dead pines. One adult male with
brick red head; one juvenile with faint stripes
(collected). Catalog #89

adult males, one with long, never broken thickened tail.
